‘Hello’ from Safeen, Ollie, Maha, Isla, Willow, Aaliya, Agnes, Frances and Josh.
We are going to help children play new games and support children with friendships. We want to make sure everyone is included regardless of belief, background, disability or skin colour. We will greet and look after children coming from other countries, especially when they have had to leave their home. We will look out for children who are shy so that they have friends. Our badge is a ‘rainbow’ this is our symbol for inclusion.
The Young Leaders are responsible for supporting Miss Hook, the Governors and the rest of the teachers in making sure our curriculum is the best it can be. We work together to make sure that it helps us to know and remember more each year!
We are also responsible for showing our school to visitors and sharing all the great things about our school and what we can do to make it even better!
The Young Leaders are: Musa, Aidan, Conor, Emily, Emilia, Theo, Ezra, Seeta, Mati, Tommy, Elliot, Eleanor and Alma.
The Charity Team are responsible for all our fundraising and awareness events. They organise any special activities and let everyone know what we have done to help our community and the wider world.
So far we have organised events and raised money for Red Card to Racism and Children in Need. Last year we twinned all our toilets, providing clean toilet facilities for children all over the world.
The Safeguarding Superheroes are responsible for helping to make sure everyone feels safe and secure at school. We meet with Mrs Marsden to discuss what we can do to tackle unkindness and bullying and provide all children with safe places and spaces to share when things are going wrong.
Sports Leaders are responsible for organising and running the inter house sports competitions and Sports Day. We also support other children on the playground and in P.E. lessons to make sure that everyone demonstrates cooperation, communication and dedication.
House Captains are responsible for collecting and counting all our House Points. They announce the scores in assembly on a Friday so we know which House is in the lead.
They also arrange competitions between the houses where we can earn extra points for our teams. Our teams are called Thames, Wytham, Godstow and Ulfgar.
